Sex Crimes Involving Minors Receive Harsher Penalties

Have you been charged with a sex crime involving a minor? In 2006, the Kansas Legislature passed House Bill 2576, known as “Jessica’s Law.” Jessica’s Law substantially enhances the penalties for sexual offenses involving minors. If you are charged or are being investigated for a sexual offense involving a minor, don’t talk to law enforcement or volunteer DNA or another evidence until you speak with a lawyer.
